FRANÇOIS LELEUX RETURNS TO CONDUCT SCOTTISH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

François Leleux returns to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra as conductor for concerts in Edinburgh (08 March) and Glasgow (09 March).

Leleux appeared with the Orchestra as soloist in previous seasons and now returns to conduct Fauré’s Pelléas et Mélisande Suite, Bernstein’s Halil, Bizet’s Symphony No.1 and, leading from the oboe, Lebrun’s Oboe Concerto.

Announced last night at the Orchestra’s 2018/19 season launch, Francois will return to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra four times next season as a featured artist.

Leleux has just returned from a week conducting the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Other conducting engagements have included appearances with Gulbenkian Orchestra, Hungarian National Philharmonic, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra. Later this season he will conduct the Vienna Chamber Orchestra at the Wiener Konzerthaus, and returns to the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.
